Group Leader (Data & Insights)

Israel (Hybrid - Haifa, Tel Aviv or Rehovot)


BreezoMeter is looking for a Group Leader to join our rapidly growing R&D team and take part in developing our innovative environmental data and insights platform.

In this position, you’ll be leading (and serving) exceptional people in multidisciplinary teams of algorithms and software engineers, while collaborating with science and product experts to create inspiring data-driven solutions that have a real impact on the lives of millions of people around the world.

  • Lead several algorithmic product development teams, responsible for building the company’s core data and insight products
  • Proactively identify ways to continually improve the quality of our products and the efficiency of our team
  • Champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor
  • Facilitate data-driven and informed decision making and prioritization across your group
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with product and scientific teams within the company
  • Explore multiple technologies in various domains for solving complex business problems


  • Advanced degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or other quantitative fields
  • At least 10 years of relevant hands-on experience in algorithms research & development, software development, and data science domains
  • At least 6 years of managerial experience, with demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
  • Deep familiarity with algorithms development lifecycle, especially in modern data oriented domains
  • Experience leading the development and maintenance of complex and large scale algorithmic and data intensive products
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Very good business and product understanding
  • Experience working in agile development methodologies, and in fast cycles
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proven experience with building highly complex systems and architectures
  • Experience in building data and insights’ oriented SaaS applications - big advantage!
  • Experience in delivering products for B2B oriented enterprise domains - big advantage!
  • Experience in working closely with scientists - advantage!
