Data Engineer

Israel (Hybrid - Haifa, Tel Aviv or Rehovot)

Description

BreezoMeter is looking for a Data Engineer to build our cutting-edge environmental data and insights platform, that impacts the lives of millions of our users around the world.

In this position, you’ll be working with exceptional people in a multidisciplinary R&D team to create inspiring data-driven solutions

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute data warehouse plans for a product or a group of products
  • Identify the data needed for a business problem and build the infrastructure ensuring availability of data
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs, representing key data insights in a meaningful way
  • Build data expertise and leverage data controls to ensure privacy, security, and data quality
  • Design, build and deploy new data models and visualizations, leveraging common development tools and frameworks
  • Build and deploy ETL processes, as well as mentor others around efficient work with various data sources

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • 2+ years of experience with Python or similar
  • Experience with both relational and non-SQL databases
  • Experience with data platform architecture
  • Experience with some of the following technologies: Kafka, Spark, GCP BigQuery, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Tableau
  • Experience building complex ETLs processes, handling large quantities of data, both streamed and batched
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices
  • Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or equivalent industry experience
